Multitasking: A Dilemma
I always thought that I was one person of few who was able to multitask. However it turns out I got it all wrong. What did I get wrong? What multitasking is, and to what extent I can multitask, which clearly showcases how unskilled I happen to be regarding this topic.
Multitasking is simply "the performance of more than one task at the same time. " . 'Same time' is the keyword, because it is true anybody can work on some tasks all together, but certainly not all on the same time. However, though multitasking could work magic when you have a ton of work to get over with, but all in all, is multitasking worth it?
I researched all about multitasking, and with all honesty I was stunned, turns out that multitasking can alter your focus dimensions in one way or another, Apparently, multitasking is the devil, for it divides our attention and diverts it to an extent you would find focusing and throwing your attention to one thing incredibly difficult. For example, "attempting to complete additional tasks during a driving simulation led to poorer driving performance."
On top of all that, to all the new generations, who is so prone and understanding of mental health, multitasking is definitely not for you, us. Multitasking is known to stimulate a big clump of stress, attacking your mental health in a way affecting and increasing you anxiety and makes you somewhat depressed.
Say no more YouTube videos of enhancing you ability to multitask, unless you still are keen on learning it despite the dangers I stated earlier. I think multitasking is all good only when necessary, in the meantime, ill just tackle my tasks like any human being.
Thanks Alot!
